HOW ARE YOU GUYS? Last weekend, I started watching a Spanish thriller miniseries on the streaming platform Netflix. It has six episodes and depicts the real-life murder of a Chinese girl named Asunta Fong Yung. Asunta was adopted by a wealthy Spanish couple, Rosario Porto and Alfonso Basterra, in 2001. As she grew older, it became apparent that Asunta was intellectually gifted; she studied four languages and took ballet, violin, and piano classes. In early 2013, the couple suddenly divorced due to Porto's affair. However, in June of that year, Porto had a nervous breakdown, and Basterra helped her, leading to them sharing meals at his house. As for Asunta, she continued with her activities until her lifeless body was discovered on September 22, 2013, on the side of the road. According to the police report, the girl was left at her mother's apartment while Porto went to the family's country house. When she returned at 9:30, she claimed that Asunta had disappeared.
