FLOW
Flow is an animated film, created on a free app called Blender, that doesn't have dialogues. The characters only make sounds, as if they were in the real world. That's why you must pay close attention if you want to understand the movie. However, the lack of dialogue makes the audience imagine the conversations and suppose certain points of the storytelling, making it more exciting, imaginative, and interesting. It is an innovative way to create films that we weren't accustomed to. As we have seen, this kind of film can be successful. Flow has won an Oscar; moreover, it doesn't need to be translated or have subtitles added, making these movies cheaper. For these reasons, I believe more directors will try this approach. In summary, animated films without dialogue can be well-received by the spectators, but it needs to be well-executed. If it isn't, the absence of conversations and the animation won't let people understand the story.
