HOW AI COULD SAVE EDUCATION


Hello guys!!!

Welcome to my new blog! Today, I watched a video featuring Sal Khan discussing how using AI correctly can lead to a positive transformation in education.

He explained that everyone could have a personal tutor, enabling them to improve and understand subjects that they struggled with in school. Based on a study, it was concluded that having the option of personal classes helps students learn more. So, if everyone can interact with an AI, there will likely be more exceptional students than ever before.



This idea inspired the creation of "Khanmigo" - an AI designed for both students and teachers. In student mode, Khanmigo doesn't simply provide answers to exercises; instead, it teaches users how to solve them and explains any mistakes made. This feature allows the AI to act as an academic coach. Additionally, for students who struggle with writing, they can provide descriptions and the AI will craft a complete story, thereby improving reading comprehension skills.

In teacher mode, Khanmigo provides answers but serves a broader purpose. For instance, teachers can seek advice on how to make their classes more engaging and entertaining.

In conclusion, Sal Khan emphasized that fairness isn't always necessary. By utilizing AI in these ways, we can make significant progress in education.

WHAT DO I THINK ABOUT IT?

I belive it's an interesting perspective, but it's more of a dream than a reality. It's not very practical because it's easy to deceive the AI and switch to teacher mode for answers. Ultimately, everything relies on people's judgment, and when everyone is free to do as they please,It could be a double-edged sword. We can't halt progress, so it's crucial that we use it responsibly.

We must make the most of this fantastic tool!!!

In modern times, the educational system has changed. The variety of careers at university has increased, and furthermore, students are able to study remotely because of the development of technology. But is this new way of teaching efficient? Online classes have allowed people to study careers that are not available in the place where they live. Sometimes, because of economic issues, they cannot choose the career of their dreams, but long-distance classes have opened a new door full of possibilities and opportunities. One negative aspect is that, since you don’t meet your classmates in person, making friends and getting to know each other is more challenging. It isn’t impossible, but it will be harder to meet face-to-face. In online classes, you might have classmates from all over the world. On the other hand, in face-to-face classes, you are constantly talking to and meeting new people, so it is easier to create bonds. “To what extent does the language we speak shape our perception of the world?

 Having watched a TED talk trying to answer the question "Does language shape our perception of the world?" made me analyse how our brain works and observe that little details make a huge difference. First of all, I must insure that the language is involved with our thought, and, you may be asking, why can I be so assured about it? Here I will give two examples to argument this posture. One explenation is the comparation with an austrialian community called Kook Thaayorre. The society is characterized by a different culture, that is why they have their own language which for example, instead of using the words right and left to get oriented, they aply another vocabulary that it is based on the use of cardanial directions. This way provide a better orientation and have the ability of get located oneself in a space.
